Our History

Our history goes back to 1955 when Bechara Ghorayeb started a typo printing press in Beirut down town. This was during the golden years of Beirut and the Ghorayeb printing press became one of the main players in the printing industry in Lebanon and was servicing all commercial printings and mainly the governemental tenders.
Ten years later, in 1965 from a need to flexible packaging industry to serve Lebanon, the Middle East and the Arab world, a sister company La Rotogravure was established as the first and only web printer. Quickly it became the main supplier for the region. Our main clients in Lebanon were Gandour, Pioneer, Bonjus, Cortina while many others were in Syria, Jordan, Iraq and north Africa. In 1971 in our endeavour to satisfy the needs of food packaging industry, we began developing our own formula for a food safe and odourless ink locally. Therefore La Rotogravure established itself, again, as a pioneer in that field.
In 1975 new premises where built to reach a total area of 6000 square metres in Zouk Mosbeh, industrial area. 1983 was the year when a new division for label printing became essential. A state of the art label machine was installed and work started with a new sister company under the name of Rotolabel.
In 1988 the Lebanese war ended a twenty three years of success for La Rotogravure and Rotolabel. However Ghorayeb Printing press continued with sheetfed printing.
2009 the come back of La Rotogravure with the sheetfed printing technology and packaging.
